Day 218

My parents and brother arrived in Sydney airport! I surprised them with a homemade sign together with my friend Jesper who was meeting his girlfriend Helle from Denmark.

My roommate Trine joined us for breakfast in Glebe.

Everyone enjoyed Glebe Market:) I think even my dad did, even though he thinks he already knows the place from my blog!

After looking at the sky line from Sydney University we walked all the way from Broadway through the city centre down George St. and ended up at Circular Quay in Sydney Harbour.

Day 216

Luckily I get to spend a few more days sightseeing in Sydney when my parents and brother arrive tomorrow. I am really excited to see them and cannot wait to show them around.

As the final goodbye event (and there has been a lot of them) with my international friends we went out for a 7 course dinner in Darlinghurst.

Day 215

My friend Paul hurt his foot a few weeks ago and cannot leave his apartment, therefore we all went to his place each bringing our own dish to surprise him.

The danish desert "rød grød med fløde" was a hit!

Goodbye Bondi

Today I went to a BBQ at Bondi beach with my international friends to say goodbye to the ones that are leaving and to enjoy the sunny day.

Giulia makes the best Italian chocolate cake, and it looks like Lukas and Diego think the same!

Day 209

I met Heidi and Stinne in Glebe for coffee and said goodbye before they leave Australia.

I also met Adriano and said goodbye. He is looking at aboriginal art that is sold a lot at the streets of Sydney.

My roommate at I had a date at Max Brenner chocolate bar - too good to be true :)

My Australian friend from Melbourne visited Sydney for a few days so we went sightseeing in the city!

I can never get enough of Sydney Opera House!

We went by boat from Circular Quay to Cockatoo Island, the biggest island in Sydney Harbour. The island is most known as a former imperial prison and therefore it has an interesting history.

At the island there was the exhibition "A different time" by Herbert Basedow. It showed the life of the settlers as well as the aboriginal people from the early 20th-century expeditions into central and northern Australia and was really interesting.

Day 206

Sanna is a Swedish friend of mine from UTS, and we went to a café to say goodbye before she leaves Australia. I am happy that a lot of my friends are from Europe, then there is a chance I might see them again :)

Day 205

Rike and I had breakfast at our hostel with a beautiful view of the wine fields.

On recommendation by a local we drove to Tallavera Grove, Bistro Mollines. It was an absolutely charming place with a beautiful view of Hunter Valley.
