Day 10

Another rainy day in Melbourne to go sightseeing

Ben and I went to Fritzroy suburb and walked down Brunswick St. I really liked the area that reminded me of Camden Town, London

We had lunch at an indie place called Bimbos with only $4 pizza's

Andy is a member of The Melbourne Club that is a male only club established in 1839 and located on Collins St. It seems as if he spends a lot of time there networking and socialising - cool! 

I went with the boys to a store called Herringbone (Sydney) that's an iconic Australian brand known for its classic sartorial style. The boys were very excited that there was a 30% off storewide and want to go back tomorrow - I reckon they're a bit addicted :)

Day 9

Ben and I took the train back to Melbourne from Geelong. Here we checked in at 6 Anthony St at a couple of Ben's friends Andy (Andrew) and Mike (Michael) where I'm going to stay for the next couple of days. They are really nice guys and as the pictures shows they eat A LOT of eggs!

Ben took me for a walk in the city including endless shopping - this is a cool place with different stores on each floor

Mike met us in the city and we went out for some asian food. He works at Ernst & Young and had his business suit on!

In the apartment at Anthony St I was in real Melbourne company (Notice the fan in the background because this apartment is so hot!)

At the evening we went to The Toff in Town for concerts with upcoming bands: Kristina Miltiadou and Redberryplum - that was really great!

Later on we went to the Rooftop bar that had a wonderful view of Melbourne city

Day 8

Today Ben and I went on a 350 kilometers road trip to see the 12 Apostles and the Great Ocean Road.

We didn't see any alive Kangaroo but drove past a big dead one beside the road!

Now it's body-boarding time at Lorne beach. I don't want to brag about it but I CAUGHT THE FIRST WAVE (with a little help from Ben)!

I became friends with the surfer dudes (ps this hair is real surfer hair)

At the evening I had a homecooked dinner with Ben's nice family. From the left it is Helen, Jim, Ben and Scott














Jim has his own hair salon called Masons in the city and he was so nice to do my hair and even give me hair products for the trip. Australian people are so nice I can't believe it!

Day 7

Today I went on the train from Melbourne at Southern Cross station to a city called Geelong. It's located about 75 kilometres south-west of Melbourne. I went to visit Ben and his Australian family. (I made friends with Ben in Denmark last year when he was studying law at The University of Aarhus).

 The view from the train was wonderful.

After eating dinner at an italian restaurant with the family Ben took me for a walk along the pier in Geelong.

Day 6

In 1992 the St. Kilda Breakwater was declared a protected wildlife area. Among other things they have Water Rats and Fairy Penguins so Alison and I went to look for them at the beach (we saw both!). We brought tapas and Australian beers to the end of the main pier.

The Fairy Penguin as a species is not endangered. There are 60.000 to 80.000 of the Little Penguins in Victoria alone so it makes sense why they are so easy to find:)

Later on we went out in St. Kilda that has a nice clubbing environment.
