We rentet scooters for two days and went on a trip with Emelie (Sweden), Thomas (Germany), Marta (Spain), Elizabeth (Brazil), Diego (Columbia), Irina (Russia/Italy) and Kirk (Australia).
The scooters were only 30.000 Indonesian rupiahs per day = 18 Danish krone or 3 AUD
Lunch in Ubud surrounded by rice fields.
Visiting the sacred Monkey forest of Pedangtegal we came across some mad long-tailed macaques! Diego had a body seach from a monkey and ended up with a bleeding nose. Another monkey stole Emelie's sunglasses and when she screemed it bite her and she had to get an rabies injection - enough monkeys for one day!
A sacred Balinese Hindu site in the Monkey Forest.
We were very lucky to witness a ceremony at Bat Cave Temple located in Klungkung regency that only happens twice a year.
After the ceremony we met the leader of the temple and a member of the Government.
They gave coffee and local desert and invited us to spend the night for free on the floor - but we decided to find a hotel near by instead.. The Balinesian people are extremely friendly and helpful!
